Alex met Maria at a backyard barbeque in SF hosted by his friend (and her new boss). Maria overheard Alex talking about cats, and she broke the ice by mentioning her two cats, Hunter and Lloyd, Over the last several years, Alex and Maria fell in love, made a home together, traveled all over the country, spent a month together in Thailand and Cambodia, and supported each other in building their careers. Over that time, Hunter and Lloyd have mostly napped in the sun.
